ProactivaNET® Installation Requirements

First step in order to install ProactivaNET® Inventory or Service Desk in the client network is to have a server with certain software and configuration requirements.

These requirements are referred to the machine which is going to get webpages served. The database server can be in this machine or in an independent one.

Server requirements:

• Microsoft Windows 2000 / 2003 Server operating system, or later.
• Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
• Web IIS service enable.
• SQL Server 7 / 2000 /2005 /2005 Express or later, or Oracle versions 8, 9 or 10.
• If the database server is in an independent machine, communication between both servers must be ensured. If the database engine is Oracle, the webpages server must have installed Oracle tools and must be able to access the database manager of the second machine.

Regarding hardware requirements, minimum requirements needed to run the operating system are enough for the installation and right execution of ProactivaNET®. We only recommend not using a saturated machine, specially RAM memory, for an optimum execution of the database.

We also have an on-demand version of the product (ASP, Aplication Server Provider). You will not need any specific requirements for this version; the serve side is hosted in one of our servers within our DataCenter.
